2 Specific Objectives 1. Develop, integrate, accredit and evaluate a bachelor degree program with an appropriate laboratory component in renewable energy jointly taught by universities in Jordan and brought into line with the Bologna requirements. 2. Engage faculty in the development of interactive instruction techniques for lectures and laboratory courses and sharing experiences with EU partner universities. 3. Develop and implement course content using VLE delivery and remote labs. 4. Extend services and training in collaboration with the local and regional industry and community. 5. Improve the human capacity of Jordanian universities by providing training and upgrading opportunities in the EU for aspiring young and women academic members of staff. 15 Action Plan 2.5 New Curricula for RE Courses Jordanian professors will deliver the accredited courses, assisted in the first run by EU professors. The pedagogical approach of the courses will include lectures, seminars, case studies, group work, report writing, and independent research. List of Courses in Offer Berlin Offer 2.7 Monitoring and Feedback Methodology and Reports Sapienza will coordinate the assessment and the feedback exercise which will be carried out to evaluate the learning outcomes of the delivered courses, labs. and eLearning courses, at mid-term and at the end. Online questionnaires will be designed for this purpose and will be posted online for 2 months. Only professors and students who participated in the courses delivery will take part. The online survey system in DEV1. 2 will be used for this purpose. 16 Action Plan 3.3 Personalization of VLE The VLE tools will be properly selected in order to suite the courses, students and professors. Selection of the learning tools including synchronous and asynchronous ones, project-based learning, cooperation tools, assessment and evaluation, as well as social media tools will be considered as complement of the learning process. HU in cooperation with UNED will lead the personalization process. 4.2 Services Adaptation to Connect Remote Labs to VLE UNED with the partners where the facilities will be deployed (PSUT, JUST MUTAH and HU) will develop services for the connection of the remote labs, delivery and implementation. 1 academic and 2 technical local staff will work with UNED for the development of practical manuals for installations for 24 days with the support of 1 technician from UCY and IGFoton. 17 Action Plan 4.3 Integration of Remote Labs into VLE After the delivery and final installation of all the remote labs, the final steps and integration into the VLE will be carried out. UNED together with UCY, Sapienza, IGFoton, PSUT and HU will work in the integration as well as the final adjusts on the practical remote labs student work. 5.2 Establishment of an RE Training Centre A RE training centre will be established for all Jordanian universities, with trained staff in administrative, pedagogical and technological aspects. This centre will be based at UoJ. 2 key staff involved in the centre set-up will make a 1-week study visits to UCY and Sapienza (4 PC- EU) to be trained on experiments and state-of-the-art equipment set- up, usage, operation and maintenance. 18 Action Plan 5.5 Training Workshops in Renewable Energy in Jordan Jordanian staff trained in EU will hold regular multiple effect workshops at their own institutions and in the Training Centre. The UCY will contribute to the preparation of these workshops which will be scheduled at the end of the project and will continue after the lifetime of the project. 6.3 Commercialization White Paper The IGFOTON team will prepare the white paper with the assistance of PSUT and MUTAH on their founding on technology transfer and commercialization and market opportunities in renewable area. This document will be developed in consultation with public institutions and local administrations, universities, stakeholders, professional associations, NGOs, enterprises and media. 19 Action Plan 7.5 Events and Networking The dissemination committee will encourage the creation of a network that may form the nucleus of a future association that embraces all possible RE stakeholders nationally and internationally. Two networking events will be organised at UoJ to amplify the benefits from joining such an association. The first event will be specially organised while the other will be held during the final dissemination conference. 7.6 Dissemination Workshops on RE Promotion One dissemination workshop will be organized by each Jordanian university in order to present the project’s objective and activities; market opportunities; territorial energy potential; policies and measures set to diffuse renewable energy. The workshops will allow students to present their thesis or final year project to local authorities and enterprises. 20 Action Plan 7.7 Final Dissemination Conference A final international dissemination conference, patronized by ministries and local authorities, will be organized at UoJ. The conference will discuss state-of-the-art research in RE at the international level. Research papers will be invited, reviewed and presented by leading scientists in the world. The dissemination committee will form a scientific committee and will be responsible for organizing the conference. Conference OnlineConference Online 8.5 Final Evaluation Report The external evaluator will be charged of elaborating a final evaluation report on the basis of project documents, monitoring reports, analysis of outputs and results, first impact, stakeholder interviews, direct beneficiaries interviews and context analysis. The report consider the same 5 aspects analyzed in the mid term evaluation report.
