7 Facts Nobody ever claimed the Titanic to be “unsinkable” It did not receive much publicity until after it sank, therefore, there isn’t a lot of real footage of the ship. Most newsreels used film from it’s sister ship the Olympic with the name scratched out. 1958 “A Night to Remember” is considered the most historically accurate account Titanic won 11 Academy Awards

9 Rose and Jack are fictitious (a romance between the two would not have been possible) as well as their family members There was a J. Dawson who was a member of the crew The Heart of the Ocean is not real (although Louise XVI was reported to have one)
