5 Impact on P-Cohort After June Regents, 56% of “in-danger” students who had a chance to graduate from the targeted P-Cohort graduated (18/32) After August Regents/Summer School 68.5% of students in the “in-danger” of graduating P- Cohort graduated (22/32)

6 Middle School Data - ELA Successes 6 th Grade Those performing at Level 3/4 on Exam went up by 7.83% Compared to city that went up by 1.97% 8 th Grade The cohort of students in the 8th grade had a 9.58% increase in the number of students performing at Level 3/4 compared to when they were in 7th grade The average city increase was 3.48% Challenges 6 th Grade 5.6% below the city average of 25.27% of student performing at levels 3/4 on State Test 7 th Grade Drop in students performing at level 3/4 from dropped by 9.72% compared to city average increased by 1.26% 8 th Grade Drop of 50% of students performing at level 4 from 7 th to 8 th Grade (2 to 1)

7 Middle School Data - MATH Successes 6 th Grade Students performing at Level 3/4 had an increase of 9.98%, Compared to the city average increase of 4.97% 7 th Grade The cohort of students who were in the 7th grade had a 6.12% increase in students performing at levels 3/4 compared to when those same students were in 6th grade Compared to a 4.60% increase in the city 8 th Grade There was a 7% drop in the number of students who were scoring at a Level 1 in the 8 th grade class, compared to when they were in 7 th grade Challenges 7 th Grade The percentage of students performing at level 3/4 dropped by 1.18 percent, compared to the city average which rose by 4.6% 8 th grade The Cohort of 8th grade students had a drop of 4.12% of students performing at Level 3/4, compared to when they were in 7th grade. The city had a drop of 2.94% from the same cohort moving from 7th-8th grade

8 Using the Data for This Year Sept – Baseline Data from DDC Baselines or MOSL Baselines – Work on Aligning items to standards in DDC Sept/Oct – ARIS Item Analysis Results for MS Tests – Adjust pacing/lessons and curriculum maps to reflect how challenges are being addressed Develop Instructional Foci based on item analysis results  Keep working on Questioning and Discussion techniques throughout
