3 o It all started with a trip to the mall. o Dunlap thought of a solution that could help most shoppers: A SEARCH ENGINE WHERE SHOPPERS CAN GO ONLINE TO SEE IF A PRODUCT IS AVAILABLE AND WHERE IT’S THE CHEAPEST. o Dunlap wrote his idea on his “idea” logbook. o Partnership with Redpoint ventures allowed him to launch his ideas. o NearbyNow wasn’t incorporated until after a feasibility analysis. o Dunlap built a team, raised funding and built the service.

4 1. A shopper searches for the product on the mall’s website. 2. Page through listings to find the item you want. Availability of goods may sometimes be reflected and reservation may be done. 3. You’re asked how you’d like to be notified to make sure product is in stock, either e-mail or text message. You’ll usually hear back in 10 minutes or so. 4. If the item is available, you go to the store to buy the item. If it isn’t available, you may be given the option to purchase online.

5  Who is the target?  Do people need NearbyNow service?  Is OFFline shopping still in the game? NearbyNow wasn´t build before feasibility analysis was finished
