5 What we do 1.Overall advice and support to all people working at the Hubrecht (employees, guests, trainees, etc.) 2.Implementation and execution of staff policy according to the guidelines of KNAW and the collective labour agreement (CAO-NU) 3.Personnel administration and reports 4.Advice and accompaniment of employees in various personal matters (e.g. confidant) 5.Advise the board and management in policy matters 6-1-2016 CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre

7 Recruitment In cooperation with the Group Leader/manager determination of the content and placement of the vacancies in the (social) media. Group Leader/manager always has to fill in the vacancy registration form HR is responsable for the coordination of the entire proces from vacancy to appointment Recruitment is always a tailor made proces 6-1-2016 CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre

8 Training and education Primarily for employees at the Hubrecht/CBS Financing: Institute budget, Group budget, AVOM, Matchpoint (who is the stakeholder?) Purpose: always to become a better employee/professional and to increase your employability Training and education is part of your personal development and therefore always an item on the agenda of the annual appraisal Final decision acknowledgement: managing director 6-1-2016 CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre

9 Support with illness and long term inability (1) Registration of all employees who are unfit to work When you are ill: always call your manager and the reception on the first day When you are well again: always report to your manager and the reception as soon as you start 6-1-2016 CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre

10 Support with illness and long term inability (2) Contact with company doctor: tailor made Employees can also ask for a consult Monitoring the legal procedures according to the “Poortwachter” (gate keeper) law The manager is the first responsable for keeping contact with the disabled employee Ultimately after 8 weeks: HR + employee + manager are shared responsable to cooperate in making and executing a reintegration plan 6-1-2016 CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre

11 Foreign employees (1) Group leader: has to inform HR about every non-EU- national  8 weeks in advance: hand in guest form or registration vacancy Foreign non-EU-nationals always have to see Rico before starting! HR must be able to prove that someone is a researcher, even when he/she is on the pay roll of another organization 6-1-2016 CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre

12 Foreign employees (2) Application for procedure: not more than 6 month in advance but at least 8 weeks in advance HR applies for and signs out employees and guests at the IND Request for 30% rule  employee (researcher) has to prove the necessity of relocation.  Current location > 150 km from the Dutch border  HR applies for the request at “belastingdienst” (tax authorities) 6-1-2016 CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre

13 Foreign employees (3) Reception and introduction of new foreign employees and guests (introduction book: Holland Hand Book) Providing up-to-date knowledge of rules and legislation Insurances (for guests only) 6-1-2016 CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre

14 Mobility Career orientation Personal development Before a contract ends: Work-to-Work programme  to draw up together with HR, starting 3 months before the end of the employment contract Support from Matchpoint: personal presentation, networking, development assessment, coaching, career consult, personal insight 6-1-2016 CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre
