4. 2012 CPS Track and Field Pre-season Meeting Presentation Coaching CPS Track and Field All non-board coaches must go through the hiring process, every year. Coaching while not being processed will result in a reprimand to you as well as your AD, and you will not be compensated for your time. Your relationship with your AD is of primary importance. You must register your team by submitting a formal eligibility sheet done through IMPACT. Do not allow a student to practice or compete in meets without having an Updated medical on file at the school. Submit the Indoor Document Make sure that you are formally hired – go through the process Due on Jan 18: CORS, Non-conf schedule, Coaches’ data form Register for an account on athletic.net Consider whether you will compete in the IHSA Series and make sure your AD registers your team online by February 1. 5. 2012 CPS Track and Field Pre-season Meeting Presentation Coaching CPS Track and Field (2) Eligibility for the Stipend Register your team by January 18, with CORS, Coach Data Sheet, and Indoor Document Have a formal team recognized team with the appropriate participation numbers Basketball, wrestling, and other winter sport coaches are only eligible for the (Outdoor) season hours for track and field. These coaches will be paid the greater stipend between (Indoor Track) and the winter sport they coached. This is all pending compliance with the criteria for payment. Stipend paid at the end of the spring season (June) Criteria for receiving the maximum hours of the coaches’ stipend First year programs are developmental – eligible for ½ of the stipend Eligible for ½ of the stipend if registered after the deadline but prior to March 2 And participate in 4 meets with appropriate participation numbers Compete in 7 sanctioned meets between January 31 – May 12 Failure to participate in the required number of meets, or with improper participation numbers will result in some forfeiture of the stipend.
