2 Goals To design a transformer using CNT threads 2 Objectives 1.Design transformer 2.Modify CNT threads by the processes of doping and coating. 3.Replace Cu wires by CNT threads 4.Using a battery, light up LEDs CNT- Carbon nanotubes Cu- Copper LED- light-emitting diode, used as a light source Transformer- electrical device

3 Final Product 3 Source: Energy Efficiency Battery connected to primary coil LED connected to secondary coil CNT threads will replace coils Transformer

4 Tasks Learn how a transformer works Understand properties of CNTs Learn process of doping and coating CNT threads Choose ideal transformer design Wrap CNT threads on transformer Connect battery and LED to CNT threads Light up LED! 4
