The Process The process is when a plant takes in light and uses to produce energy

Essential Vocab Photo- light Synthesis- Build up

The purpose The purpose is to produce energy for the plant so that they can survive and it converts carbon dioxide into sugar for the plants nutrition

How does it work The leaf absorbs the sunlight and turns the carbon dioxide into sugar and then the leaf takes the energy and turns it into food on which the plant can survive

Reactants and products Water. Carbon Dioxide, Sunlight Energy are the reactants in photosynthesis and oxygen and glucose are the products. The photosynthesis equation is 6 H2O + 6 CO2 C6H12O6 + 6 O2

Who Uses Photosynthesis Plants mostly use photosynthesis, however, some animals use it too, like the sea slug, Spotted Salamander, Oriental Hornet, and the Pea Aphid use it to survive in the wilderness.

What would happen if photosynthesis did not exist If photosynthesis did not exist then many plants and a few animals would die because they wouldn’t get the nutrition that they need.

The End Thanks for watching
