STIMULUS CHECK Since the United States Department of Treasury’s News Release of June13, 2008, The Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago has decided to follow suit and as a result is making public the following information: Due to a very significant increase in food and oil prices, Prime Minister Manning has instructed the Department of Treasury (IRS) to issue a Stimulus refund check to the tax payers of Trinidad and Tobago. Average refund will be between $1600 for a married couple, $800 for individuals, and $ 400 for each child under the age of sixteen (16) T&T Nationals living abroad may also qualify for this stimulus package.
