1 Slot Management April Schneider 9/4/14 Greenlight Meeting

2 Business Problem 2 Some deals have contractual requirements to fulfill a specific number of current and upcoming titles with specific qualifications (i.e. Features that were released in a certain country or particular language and in a specified number of screens). Background The Studio does not always release or acquire enough titles to fill these open slots, leaving revenue on the table. Problem Home Office has a manual process to either acquire content to fill the slots OR modify existing release patterns to match their requirements. For example, if a feature is slated to be released in 1500 screens, but the deal calls for 1700 screens, then the planned screen release can be modified to meet this new threshold in order to be eligible for inclusion in some deals. Additionally, there are limited resources to support the manual processes in place leaving some deals untracked. Automation would increase this capacity. This manual process is both time intensive and does not provide complete analysis for the business, resulting in incomplete results and lost revenue. Current Process

3 Proposed Solution 3 To automate the research process To provide visibility on release patterns for adjustment to allow for inclusion of these titles in a deal (i.e. Number of Screens) To factor which type of titles must be acquired to fill the open slots To identify titles that do not qualify for these deals and can be sold outside of the deal Visibility to qualifications across all deals Visibility to pending/acquisition title attributes in the system List of deals with unfilled and calculated value range of those unfilled slots (i.e. revenue left on the table) Definition of qualification rules that apply to the slot management process and implementation of those qualification rules Visibility to reasons a title did not qualify (ability look across regions/across territories) Alerts: -When new titles are added or title attributes change, allowing the title to meet the requirements of a deal -When title changes pricing categories -Easy way to subscribe to multiple deals (i.e. deal watch list) Scope Objectives An automated process for identifying which titles would provide the best ROI resulting in additional business revenue generation.
