1. Multi-genre Research Paper Making it AWESOME!

2. Trade papers with someone… Read through the entire paper without making any marks. Just read and enjoy! DO NOT TALK; JUST READ!

3. Turn to the back of the paper… On the blank, backside of the paper, write your initial thoughts about it. Write for at least five minutes. DO NOT TALK; JUST WRITE! What is the purpose? What is the message being conveyed? Do you get it? Do you follow it?

4. Make a list… Rearrange the entries in this paper. Make a list of how you think the entries should be ordered. Explain next to each one why it might fit there better. Do they need titles to help with organization?

5. Make a note if it is missing… An intro letter Five (5) entries Four (4) genres (diff. types of poems do not count for a diff. genre) Annotated bibliography –Four (4) sources? –Formatted in MLA format? –Annotated (thorough explanation of what the source is and why you used it)?

6. Last minute check for… Spelling errors Get a dictionary or look it up on your phone if you’re not sure Grammatical errors –Help fix sentences that don’t make sense –Possessive nouns! –Commas!

7. Get your paper back… Look over what your partner wrote. Ask questions to make sure that you clearly understand what he/she meant. Take notes while he/she is explaining ideas to you. Switch and do the same for your partner’s paper.

8. Now you will have a REVISED, AMAZING Multi-genre Research Paper to share with us On May 14!!!
