2. Paws and Claws Pet Clubs originated through Homeless Pet Clubs, an organization started by Dr. Michael Good, an Atlanta, Georgia veterinarian, to save homeless pets scheduled for euthanasia. Our purpose and goal is to get the word out about all the great animals awaiting adoption at the Etowah Valley Humane Society.

3. In 2011 the Homeless Pet Clubs partnered with the Etowah Valley Humane Society here in Bartow County to begin establishing clubs in our schools. Both the superintendents of Bartow County and Cartersville City gave their seals of approval for the program. In 2013 EVHS established our own independent pet club entity, the Paws and Claws EVHS Pet Clubs.
