3  Your first homework task! Write this in your new planner. Cover your book with images connected with topics we will study this year – you’ll find a list at the front of your book : anything from Roman Britain, Normans, Medieval Britain, The Tudors & the English Reformation, The Age of Elizabeth, The English Civil War. You could even include a few of your own favourite historical figures or places – perhaps somewhere you went this summer! Bring your book back covered next lesson and you could win a fruition!

5 Don’t respect someone for making a promise. Respect them for keeping it. A student charter is like a list of promises. Work in small groups to come up with a list of promises you would like to keep to ensure you do really well at History in Year 7. The teacher will come around with a charter for you to keep at the end of the task. Tick off the ones you have got on your sheet. Add any really good examples not on the list to the bottom of the teacher’s charter.  Do you know of any other famous ‘charters’ in History. Write down examples and explain your reasons for calling these ‘charters’
