Scripture Reading: Mt 11:28-30

 The Bible is full of invitations  This evening I want to look at the invitation in Mt 11:28-30  “ 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

 All who will accept Mt 11:28 “…all you who labor and are heavy laden,…” Jn 3:16 “…whoever believes in Him” 2 Pet 3:9 “…not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

 The rich young man (Mt 19:16-22; Mk 10:17-22) Mt 19:16 “…Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” Mt 19:17 “ 17 So He said to him,… if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” Mt 19:20 “ 20 The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?” Mt 19:21 “ 21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” Mt 19:22 “…he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.”

 King Agrippa (Acts 26:19-32) Acts 26:27 “King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you do believe.” Acts 26:28 “Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”  The Ethiopian Eunuch (Acts 8:26-40) Acts 8:36 “Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” Acts 8:37 “Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may…” Acts 8:38 “So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him”

 The example on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) Acts 2:40 “And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Acts 2:41 “Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.”  The Ethiopian Eunuch (8:26-40) Requested to be baptized as soon as he found water (Acts 8:36)

 Philippian Jailer (Acts 16:25-40) Acts 16:32 “Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.” Acts 16:33 “And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.”

 All will be judged then told where to spend eternity Heb 9:27 “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,”  Heaven Mt 7:14 “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Mt 25:34 “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:”  Hell Mt 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.” Mt 25:41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:”

 Christ is ready and waiting  The choice is yours  If we can help you in any way let us know while we stand and sing
