7 Federal Acquisition Service Risks 7 January 25, 2012 - For Government Use Only - Do Not Distribute RiskMitigation Service/Vendor Readiness - ETS2 new entrant(s) may not pass IV&V in time for anticipated award date Retest mandatory requirements after award but prior to any transactions being processed; create performance incentives as part of final award to ensure timely resolution Permit transactions if non-remediated issue is deemed of low impact by early adopter agencies Phased approach and detailed vendor plan for how they will deploy all agencies Agency Readiness - Vendor(s) ability to deploy all agencies by Nov. 2013 Detailed advanced planning in anticipation of streamlined schedule. Start planning now! GSA to create Master Integrated Schedule of agency transitions; we will look for ways to balance schedules Integration Costs and Timing - Developing new interface(s) will push agencies into ETS1 extension period, with higher costs Re-use agency side of existing interface and have ETS2 vendor configure its integration capability to mimic what ETS1 is doing today Plan for new interfaces separately from transition Configuration Costs and Timing Developing new business processes will push agencies into ETS1 extension period with higher costs Maintain current business processes Take your ETS1 configuration guide from vendor and update for ETS2

10 Federal Acquisition Service Transition Planning and Support  Pre-Award Task Order Boot Camp  For agency ETS2 Program Managers, Contracting Officers, and Contracting Officer Representatives  First pre-award boot camp this Friday, Jan 27, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, via Webinar and in person at 2200 Crystal Drive  Two more pre-award boot camp sessions planned for: –Feb 7 and TBD  Please RSVP with you ECSR.
