2  Number positions to the left of the 1’s column are always 10 times larger. Example  Once you have 10 groups of 10s you have 100(one hundred).  Once you have 10 groups of 100 you have 1 000 (one thousand).  Once you have 10 groups of 1 000 you have 10 000 (ten thousand).  Watch the explanation:
