4. D.A.S. D.A.S.: Legal insurance company Belief: Everybody has a right to legal assistance. Mission: Make legal and financial legal expertise accessible for everybody in the Netherlands. Acting: By paying a small premium by our customers each year, D.A.S. offers high qualified judicial help by legal specialists.

5. D.A.S. Legal Services DAS: Legal insurance company; Is part of D.A.S. International: located in 17 European countries, Canada and South Korea; D.A.S. The Netherlands has 1.100 employees; 850 employees in the legal department of which 550 legal specialists; In 2010: handled 90.000 legal cases: traffic,labour, torts, contracts and family law; In 2010 of the 90.000 cases: 4.000 handled by / transferred to external lawyers 6.000 brought to court 80.000 solved by our legal specialists out of court

DAS conflict solving DAS is specialized in: preventing solving managing the legal problems of our clients By doing this DAS is also specialized in: using simple language (no complicated legal jargon) knowledge of various methods of solving disputes experience in handling the emotions of the client and often also those of the opposing party using best practices

D.A.S. and Microjustice Strength of DAS: legal and financial-legal expertise; TISCO introduced DAS to Microjustice Initiative; Microjustice gives us the opportunity to use our strength to help others; D.A.S. formed a project team consisting of 10 laywers. D.A.S. worked with TISCO on the dispute resolution tool; D.A.S. used the knowledge of the basic dispute resolution gained in our own practice; D.A.S. participated in the creation of each tool.

9. RESULT: TOOLBOX PROJECT Tools available on the website: are meant for facilitators; can be used for every sort of dispute; are practical guidelines; contain basic rules; are based on best practices of pactitioners around the world; during this conference, D.A.S. will help to explain the created tools; in the future: D.A.S. will provide ongoing legal advice to Microjustice when needed.

10. Summary We believe that the mission of D.A.S. and these tools will make people more consicious of the possibilities of law. The facilitators can put the tools into practice, so issues can be solved before they become a big problem. Law should be available for everyone. Legal problems should be solved. We hope that we made solving (legal) problems a little easier for you.
