Copy Rights Infringements, laws, can’s & can not's By Henry Huynh

Citations As long as you site your sources and don’t claim the source as your own, it is not a copy right infringement. This is important whether you are making a website, story, poem, or even a song, if its similar, or based off of another person’s work, you must site it.

Are Your Protected? If you make an original piece of work, and you claim it to be all yours, it is protected by copyright laws but it has to have the copyright symbol. Copyright laws are intended to protect the creator’s or author’s credit of the work, and their rights to their work.

Abuses = Jail Time When you break copyright laws, a consequence could be jail time. Although in different states, the laws may be different, but the consequence is equally punishable.

Purchases vs. Stealing When you download content for free off the internet, that is illegal and it won’t stay anonymous. When you purchase off the internet, it will be sited and isn’t illegal.

At School or At Home When your at school and your doing a report, you still must site your source, otherwise you are claiming the author’s work to be yours which is against copyright laws, this is also applied for home projects, homework etc.

Don’t Break the copyright laws ! Each of these slides explain what’s the importance of these laws and their consequences, so don’t break these laws people!!!
