2. WG or TG # SC18 Update / TG Reports form Summer 2013 meeting API-OGP Update ISO has indicated that they do not want to continue with the API-OGP interim process. Additional meetings will take place to clarify the positions of API and ISO. Task Group 2 (TG2) – API Spec Q1 Revisions : Charge: To revise Q1 independently of TS29001 while meeting or exceeding the requirements of ISO 9001, the intent of Q1, 8th edition, and maintaining close alignment in structure and language with API Q2. Status: The work is done. The document is published with a one year implementation date. There are 94 new requirements over those in the 8th edition. Only 1/3 of the new requirements are part of the new sections. Most of the other requirements were added to the existing sections.

WG or TG # SC18 TG Reports form Summer 2013 meeting Task Group 3 (TG3) – Task Group on Recommendations for Improvements to the API Monogram Program: Charge: To review issues and develop recommendations for improvements to the API Monogram program. Action: ITEM 2013-5 (June): SC18 chair to request assistance from the SC17 chair for volunteers to work on activities associated with SC18-TG3.

WG or TG # SC18 TG Reports form Summer 2013 meeting Task Group 6 (TG6) – Welding Requirements in the API Product Specifications: Charge: To review all API product specifications and recommended practices and to cross-functionally identify requirements for welding; the purpose to identify welding criteria to be recommended for use in all product specifications where welding is required. Previous Action Item : TG6 document is to be distributed to SC18 with a request to review over 6 weeks and send comments back to the TG6 chair for consideration. Action item completed. Status: (Attachment J1, J2, J3, J4) The results of the task group are currently out to SC18 for review and comment. The results of that review will be used to finalize the information in the report and to determine at that time the next path forward. M-S-P (June 2013) – Motion to accept the modified change of Task Group 6: To review all API product specifications and recommended practices and to cross- functionally identify requirements for welding, brazing and soldering; the purpose is to identify criteria to be recommended for use where these processes are required

5. WG or TG # SC18 TG Reports form Summer 2013 meeting Task Group 7 (TG7) – Product Life Cycle: Charge: To create a life-cycle management system document that provides the means of identifying the continued compliance of product to its original and/or current manufacturing and design requirements and the ability to demonstrate product compliance to original and/or current product standards and industry/product-specific technical and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle. Previous Action Item: TG7 document is to be distributed to SC18 with a request to review over 6 weeks and send comments back to the TG7 chair for consideration. Action item completed. Status: (Attachment K) The scope of the document has been expanded to include not only New Monogram equipment, but to also include new non-monogrammed products and used products. The document is introducing the concept of Initial Product Status (IPS) levels to address these different product types. Hope to have the document ready for ballot by the end of the year. 6. WG or TG # SC18 TG Reports form Summer 2013 meeting Task Group 8 (TG8) – Task Group on Guidance Document for API Spec Q1, 9th Ed. Charge: To be developed. M-S-P (January 2013) Motion was made to establish a new task group to create a document in order to facilitate the use of the new Spec Q1 (9th Edition) Status: (Attachment L) The group plans to approach those companies certified to Spec Q1 and request that a questionnaire be completed on their understanding of the document. The goal of the document is to not develop a document that is a restatement of the existing requirements. Also, the results of the API color coding of the document will be used to help steer the content of the document. M-S-P (June 2013) – Motion to accept the modified change of Task Group 8: To create a document in order to facilitate the use of the new Spec Q1, 9th Edition and to work with API Staff to determine the need for beta-site assessments and/or mock audits based on the new Spec Q1, 9th Edition.
