2 Subject and Object Pronouns  The subject pronouns, I, you, he, she, it, we, and they can take the place of a noun as the subject of a sentence.  The object pronouns, me, you, him, her, it, us and them can take the place of a noun as the object of a sentence.  Samuel Morse invented the telegraph. 3 Homework  A. Read each sentence. Write a pronoun to take the place of the underlined word or words. Write whether the pronoun is a subject or object pronoun.  1. Samuel Morse was born in Massachusetts.  2. The telegraph was an important invention.  3. Other people helped Ross.  4. Some tried to take credit for the invention.
