Benefits of a Social Web Share Create Connect  The social web is a place that one can share a multiplex of information, discusses, and opinions with various people simultaneously.  The social web also offers the ability to connect with family, friends, company workers, and associates pronto.  The social web allows individuals to create unique pages or layouts, backgrounds to WebPages, and a space that represents their hobbies and interest.

3. FOAF The social Web says that we have many friends out there just waiting to be found and connected to, and those friends have other friends (friends of a friend “FOAF”) who can just as easily connect with us and point us to new an interesting information or learning.

Social Bookmarking Services With more than billion pages of information on the Web already and millions more being added each year, it is no wonder people are starting to feel overwhelmed by the Internet. Search engines like Google and Alta Vista do a good job of helping find what we might be looking for. But as well know, sometimes their algorithms to determine what's most relevant or important don’t always hit the mark.

Bookmarking: Diigo  Diigo is a tool that not only allows you to begin constructing your own little piece of the Web, it is a way of organizing it for yourself and for those you are collaborating with. It used to store sites that deal not just with education and technology, but also for sites related to journalism, parenting, environment, kids, and the “state of the world.” Whenever I find something that interests me, I add it to my archive of sites.

15. Successful teachers who use Delicious think a lot about the tagging folksonomy they set up. One could have students all tag their links with RJ101.
