7 ECC: Electronic Communications Committee Work towards common regulatory policies in Europe Harmonise efficient use of the radio spectrum, satellite orbits and numbering resources Develop European common positions and proposals, for use in the framework of ITU-R (WRC) to promote the European interests on a worldwide basis Contribute to the free circulation and use of equipment Marc Le Devendec (ECO)

10 Com-ITU: Committee for ITU Policy Co-ordination of CEPT actions for the following ITU meetings: Council, Plenipotentiary Conferences and other meetings as appropriate Develop and approve European Common Proposals (ECPs) and Briefs (positions) for the work of these ITU meetings Consult with various organisations inside or outside the CEPT and Administrations outside the CEPT, to collect information and to broaden the support of CEPT positions Mr. Anders Jönsson (Sweden) Marc Le Devendec (ECO)

11 ECO (European Communications Office) The European Radiocommunications Office (ERO) and the European Telecommunications Office (ETO) merged 1991 2001 2010 European Radiocommunications Office (ERO) was establised in 1991 The European Communications Office (ECO) was formally established on 1 July 2009

12 ECO - Missions Provide a center of expertise Draft long-term plans for future use of scarce resources utilised by electronic communications on a European level; Liaise with the national authorities, as appropriate; To support and work together with national frequency management authorities; To conduct consultations on specific topics or parts of the frequency spectrum To publish CEPT deliverables (Decisions and Recommendations) and keep a record of their implementation
