WE WILL LEARN: 1-Articulate how technology supports the learning of culturally and linguistically diverse students. 2-Explaine differentiated instruction (DI) and universal design for learning (UDL). 3-Discuss how teachers can use different technology to create universally designed classrooms. 4- Give examples of how assistive technology support teachers in reaching all learners. 5- Analyze the uses of technology in a writing process for student writers.

Articulate how technology supports the learning of culturally and linguistically diverse students. I.Expanding Teaching and Approaches. II.Connecting classrooms with communities and cultures. III.Online languages translation services. IV.Multilingual web resources. V.International newspapers and interactive maps. VI.English language word origins.

Universal Design for learning (UDL) Differentiated Instruction (DI) Multiple means of representation, to give leaners various ways of acquiring information and knowledge. Following the topic opening, students are assigned to groups to learn the curriculum about probably in different ways. Multiple means of expression, to provide learners alternative for demonstrating what they know. Group A. Individuals or pairs of students use a computer program that flips coins to tally the numbers of head and tails resulting from 100 flips Multiple means of engagement, to tap into learners' interest, offer appropriate challenges, and increase motivation. Groups B. Pairs of students toss dice an record the results from each roll, charting the outcomes from 50 tosses each for a total of 100. Group C. Students device new skits to perform, based on experiences that they encounter in their daily lives- for example, the probability of getting a desired lunch choice out of two or four available choices in the cafeteria. Group D. Students work with the teacher to review information about probability from a math book or practice worksheet. Differentiated instruction (DI) and universal design for learning (UDL).

 3-How teachers can use different technology to create universally designed classrooms. Every teacher is an instructional designer, deciding everything from sting arrangements to instructional activities. Technology offers two main routes for designing the classroom so students with diverse learning needs can readily access key ideas and concepts..

4- Examples of how assistive technology support teachers in reaching all learners: The following technologies are examples of mid- and high - tech tools that teachers can use to support student learning. 1-word clouds. 2-Electronic spellers and dictionaries. 3-Handheld calculators.

5- Analyze the uses of technology in a writing process for student writers. A-Speech Recognition software. B- Text reading software. There are different types of text to speech software available for teacher and students. 1-Screen reading software. 2- Optical character recognition and reading software (OCR). 3- Word prediction software.
