2 About Organization  Lipi Data Systems Ltd. Belong to a well-known industrial group, Chemical International Ltd. active in diverse areas like Agro- Chemical, Minerals, Electronics, Metering and Calibration Instrument, Software Development and Data Processing.  In just four short year, Lipi’s line printers provide hard output in mega industries like Airlines, Railways, banking, Insurance, Education, Steel, Mines, Power generation and other core sectors.

3 Cont….  With technology from ‘Tally Genicom Ltd., Germany’, Lipi has introduced a new range of shuttle matrix printers which offers OEMS and users an important new capability of high speed computer printing in Hindi and other Indian scripts.

4 What is Request For System Change  The application titles ”Request for System Change” is developed with the intent of automating activities in an organization for problem reporting and get solution from system department, thus making it efficient and effective. Project computerizes the problem reporting for client. It manages the activities related to the system change like: About who writes the RSC? What are the problems related to running module at client side with module name. Date of RSC. Problem about the module. Proposed solution and remarks etc.

5 Problem Statement  In any vast organization it is always a tedious job to maintain the entire running application at client side. User uses application after testing but it may be possible that some error may be there, which will appears afterward as the user work on live data or required some new feature in application due to changes in government policies and management requirement.  The manual way for maintaining the systems related activities requires a great amount of time and efforts. There are large number of procedures and modules every department has to deal with. At the same time if there is an error in a module or user wants to changes or requires some modification, than doing this task manually will consume lot of time and efforts.

6  In present system, all work is done manually. So, each and every module takes so much time to update after giving application to IT department. Like an employee reported his problem to main office and then this problem go through to software engineers were resolving. Problem Statement

7 Technologies To Be Used Following technologies were used for the development: :  Front End Tool: Oracle 9ids - Form Builder.  Back End Tool Oracle 9i Database.  Reporting Tool Oracle 9ids- Report Builder.  Platform Oracle On Linux RHEL 3AS

22 Conclusion The "Request for System Change" has been developed to solve the various problems in running application for an Employee. User uses this application effectively to address the problem faced and can put his/her views in the context. This application effectively manages the problems and modification raised and their respective status.
