4. He wanted to cross the river. But the boat was too small.

5. It could only carry the farmer and one other thing.

6. “ I can’t leave the fox with the chicken. The fox can eat the chicken.”

7. “ I can’t leave the chicken with the corn. The chicken can eat the corn.”

8. The farmer, the fox, the chicken and the corn crossed the river safely. How did the farmer do it?
