2. Nobby’s  Early names for Nobby’s was booby island coal island and Nobby’s island  The break water was built in 1818

3. Customs House  The customs house was once a convict stockade.  1805 to 1808 there was once a lumberyard.  The Customs House was built in 1876- 1877.  The original plan was a two story rectangle.

4. General Post Office  First built in 1903  The total cost was 8720 dollars  Also in the site was the old police station  Colour was sandstone  Top two domes made of copper turning green.  1970 cleaned up (Royal visit)

5. Court House  Was created by Walter Bovon 1890 1892 since then has been used.  It has a large and creamy colour.  It was an impressing ending to Bolton St  It was an attracting building

6. Art Gallery  Open by Elizabeth March 1997 Costed 1.34 million dollars  Made out of sandstone  Brian Pile (architect)  Traditional and art contemporary  Paintings of early Newcastle

7. City Hall  Designed by Henry E Hight  Constructed from yellow freestone  Opened 1929  1927 three million dollars refurbishment  Located in King St
