Jumpstart Career Workshops - January Interim Advising Day Workshops Annual GCC/FHCC Career & Job Fair Franklin Hampshire Career Center Workshops Career Coaching Mondays (Janine Desgres) Intro to Health Careers (on-line 3 credit elective) Intro to Green Careers – SCI 136 3 credit elective BUS 102 Career Skills (1-credit course) (Requirement Embedded in MAC and RE/EE Certificates) Manufacturing/MAC Career Skills Workshops Advising Center Work Stations & ChromeBooks Mini-Job Fairs for Advanced Manufacturing, Certified Nurse Assistant & Medical Assisting programs

5 What roles did the College & Career Navigator play? A 3-year full time position (extended for an additional 3 years under the DOL Round 4 grant) Provided Career Counseling & academic advising Shared Community College updates with Franklin Hampshire Career Center customers & staff Provided TAA/Section 30 Assistance as needed to students and FHCC customers Outreach & marketing GCC programs to area community based organizations (CBO) Provided resume and cover letter development for all MCCWDTA grant funded programs Provided Job Placement activities as needed for MCCWDTA programs Provided Information sessions and career skills workshops including: – First year experience career exploration, Health Careers, Green Careers, Career Center Seminars, Nursing Assistant, MAC, and MSMI career skills prep Participated in planning and coordination of GCC/FHCC job fairs Conducted testing administration and proctoring Including: Accuplacer, HOBET, TABE, Bennett Mechanical Aptitude Testing, CCMA exam for MAC students Acted as Interim MAC Coordinator – Developed & facilitated “Meet Employers in Healthcare” – Advisor and job placement Counselor for MAC students – Assisted with CAAHEP self-study & MAC accreditation – Set up all MAC Practicums and MAC Advisory Board Developed FHCC Career Ready 101 project plan, embedded CR101 into BUS102 Career Skills course & provided CR101 presentation to full FHCC staff
