2. There once was a boy named Matthew. He was walking to school on a foggy Monday morning. He wasn’t a big fan of school, like most children. He found a big puddle on the side of the street he was walking on, so he started to cross the street to the other side. He hadn’t checked if cars were coming, though he probably wouldn’t be able to see any with this thick fog. That was too bad.

3. A car came roaring down the street and poor Matthew was hit. He hadn’t died though, it was much better than that. He was brought to a new magical world nobody had ever seen before. He woke up to a talking cat named Tom. “Who are you? Where am I? Am I dreaming?” Said Matthew. “No, you are not dreaming. I saw you appear in front of me just like that. I don’t really know how you got here, but welcome. This is Shytown.” “You mean like Chicago?” Asked Matthew. “Chi-what? I have never heard of this Chi-ca-go before but if that is where you are from, I would gladly try to get you back there.”

4. Tom grabbed Matthew’s hand and pulled him off of the ground. He handed him a card with “Welcome to Shytown” on it. Matthew thanked him and put it in his pocket. It was getting dark when suddenly the moon flung up into the sky. It was a crescent moon and Matthew thought nothing of it until he looked harder. The moon had a face and a top hat! Matthew jumped out of his shoes. First a talking cat, now the moon has a face. What next? “Hey kid, what is your name?” said Tom “Um.. Matthew, yours?” “I’m Tom-” “Like from Tom and Jerry?” Asked Matthew “What are you talking about? Like I was saying my name is Tom Jerryson the 4 th. So kid, you eat, right?”

5. Brady’s Restaurant was the name of the joint Tom took Matthew to. “What kind of food do you like, kid?” Asked Tom. “Well.. I like pizza and chicken and cake.” Answered Matthew. “Pizza and cake I have never heard of, but chicken! I have friends who are chickens and they wouldn’t like it if you were thinking of eating them.” “Well in my world, we eat animals like chickens and cows and stuff.” “Not in this world. We eat vegetables and fruit and dog food, cat food, you know. Oh, and for dessert we eat bugs.” They entered the restaurant and sat down at the counter. The waitress was an eagle. She asked the orders and Tom got milk, and a cat food burger. Matthew decided not to eat.

6. It was 9;30 and it was past Matthews bedtime. They were walking on the side of the street. “Do you guys have cars in this world?” Asked Matthew. “Yeah, we have many cars. Just about everyone has one. Why?” Tom said. “Oh nothing, nothing.” Four cars came running down the street and it started to rain. Lightning struck. It hit the tree nearest to Matthew and Tom. The tree had just missed Tom. That was too bad for Matthew though. “Matthew, where did you go?” Asked Tom Matthew had disappeared.

7. Matthew woke up in a hospital bed. Next to him was his mother and father. He was back on Earth in Chicago. “Matthew, oh Matthew. What happened?” Asked his mother. “I was hit by a car. Then I was in a place called Shytown.” “That must have been a dream” Said his father. Matthew felt the “Welcome to Shytown” card in his pocket. “Yeah, just a dream…….” “Just a Dream” Fin
