As the global business environment and project management profession evolves, the program must adapt to provide development of new employer-desired skills. “ ~ PMI.org Starting December 1, 2015  CCR program will be aligned with the employer-identified skills depicted in the PMI Talent Triangle DECEMBER 1 2015

4 PMI Talent Triangle – Facts 4  Technical Project Management  66% of organizations say that technical project skills are the hardest to find, however 96% indicate these are the most teachable  Leadership  75% of organizations rank leadership skills as the most important for successful navigation of complexity in projects; 71% of organizations say this skill is the most important for the long-term success of PM’s  Strategic and Business Management  Understanding your organizations strategy is essential – for example, when organizations align their talent to organizational strategy, it produces a higher average success rate: 72% for those with good alignment, compared to 58% of those without it

8 Changes to the PDU Classification 8 Total 3-Year PDU Required Amounts Will Not Change 60 PDUs PMP/PgMP/PfMP/PMI-PBA 30 PDUs PMI-ACP/PMI-RMP/PMI-SP Education Requirements: Minimum 35 PDUs with at least 8 Technical 8 Leadership 8 Business/ Strategic Remaining 11 in any area of Triangle Minimum 18 PDUs with at least 4 Technical 4 Leadership 4 Business/Strategic Remaining 6 in any area of Triangle Giving Back Requirements: Maximum of 25 PDUs 8 Working as a Professional (max) 17 Volunteering or Creating Knowledge Maximum of 12 PDUs 4 Working as a Professional (max) 8 Volunteering or Creating Knowledge

9 Changes to the Classification 9  Migration Process Renewal Requirements Beginning December 1, 2015 Certification Expiration Date 1 December 2015 – 30 November 2017 1 December 2017 and beyond Classify PDUs according to new CCR format Yes Meet minimum number of PDUs in Education category and each of the three skill areas. This is required for renewal. No*Yes Limit Giving Back category PDUs to new maximum requirement No*Yes *Compliance is encouraged but not mandatory. In future cycles, the new CCR program requirements must be satisfied to maintain active certification status.
