2 Program Highlights Enjoy a 6 week paid work experience during the summer months in a position that matches your career interests! Enrollment in an OSHA 10 Hour general safety class Participation in the FDIC Financial Stability Program “Money Smarts for Young Adults” 10 Hour “Work Readiness” certificate Guest speakers from various career clusters including; COX, Fidelity Investments, RI State Police, FM Global, CVS, Citizens Bank Earn money while you explore a career of interest & improve your work skills.

3 Explore a career in……

4 Post Secondary Education & Advanced Training Exploration Explore different post-secondary education & training opportunities. Learn more about “advanced training” programs available in RI. Familiarize yourself with various financial aid resources such as FAFSA. Research which post secondary institutions offer degree certificates in areas that interest you. Participation in “Money Smarts” financial planning modules that help you develop a successfully strategy towards financing your education. Discover free training programs available to you in Rhode Island.

5 Learning tied to earning

6 Eligibility 14 to 24 years old-as of July 7, 2015 Rhode Island Resident (not Providence or Cranston) Valid SS # Eligible to work in US Registered with Selective Service (males 18+)

7 Additional Requirements Must be available for the entire length of the 6 week program: July 7, 2015 - August 14, 2015 Must complete appropriate employment forms if selected for participation. Must complete evaluation upon completion of the 6 week program.

8 Application Process Schedule an appointment. Submit completed application & all required documents within established time frame determined at initial appointment. Completion of pre-program assessments (academic & vocational).

9 Documents required to complete applications Birth Certificate Social Security Card Report Card State ID, School ID, Drivers License or Passport
