2 Geographic Information Systems (GIS) ACMA uses GIS software from MapInfo to map: – the locations of transmission devices – boundaries of spectrum or broadcast planning areas – the locations of interference complainants – mobile phone coverage and “black spots” – availability of broadband infrastructure www.mapinfo.com.au
