1. Lycée Paul Langevin Our school is located in the North of Suresnes: lycée Paul Langevin (he was a famous physicist). When the weather is nice, we can see La Défense buildings!

2. Our school is a historical building: it was open in 1927. Here is the main entrance for students. At the beginning there were several levels: kindergarten, primary school and high school. Today it is only a high school.

5. The city of Suresnes Suresnes is a little city of 45 000 inhabitants, in the western suburb of Paris. We find some famous places like the American Cemetery on the Mont-Valérien, and the City Hall.

6. The Mont-Valérien is one of the high historic places in Suresnes. It was a place of pilgrimage until the 19th century. Today there is a War Memorial. The American Cemetery is the unique cemetery where soldiers of the two wars rest.

7. Overlooking La Défense stands the Mont Valerien hill. There is a very pleasant path, take the opportunity to run there on the morning! The green hill contrasts with the very urbanised surroundings and you can watch beautiful cityscape, just like this one.

8. Built after the second world war, one of the oldest district of our city is the « Cité Jardin » that we can translate in english by « the Green Area ». This district has been named like that because the aim was to built a lot of habitations in a green place : to find a balance between nature and constructions. It is the most symbolic district of Suresnes.

9. The Suresnes's City Hall is located in the south of the city. The media library where we can study, borrow books, CDs and magazines.

10. Paris and its region The « Ile-de-France » (Island of France) hosts the capital of the country, Paris. It is composed of Paris and the Suburb. This area contains about 12 million of inhabitants. Very attractive, the « Ile-de-France » attracts a lot of holiday-makers because Paris is one of the most touristic cities in the world.

11. The Eiffel Tower is an iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. The tower is 324 metres tall and it is one the highest building in the world. The "Arc of Triumph" is one of the most famous monument in Paris located at the beginning of the Champs Elysées. It honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars.

12. The Louvre Museum is a museum of arts and antiques located in the center of Paris in the Louvre Palace. This is one of the largest most visited museums in the world and the largest in Paris.

13. Disneyland Paris is an urban and touristic complex located in Marne-La-Vallée, in Île-de- France. It welcomes about 15 million of French or foreign visitors per years. The Versailles Castle was built by the king Louis XIV, called the « King of the Sun ».
