Below are some simple instructions on how to use this template:
1. You can change the text in the graphical screen above or in the outline area to the left. 2. There is one default background that is indicated by “ ” .This slide acts as a space or a blank screen, use to clear or blank the screen. If you have a large graphic such as a map you could also use this screen. If you insert a new slide you will get this default background.
3. The first five slides have the other backgrounds for the set. To use more than one of these background types in your presentation highlight the one you wish to use and choose copy from the edit menu. Paste this slide where you want it to appear in your presentation, then change the text on this new slide. By copy/pasting the slide in this manor you will keep the background, text formatting and the customized animation from that slide. By using the copy/paste method you find it saves you time and keeps a consistent look through out your presentation.

3. John 16:9, “On the one hand concerning sin (the sin of unbelief), because they (the world), habitually and customarily do not believe in Me.”

4. Vs 9, is the “Man-ward” side of the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry of “sin”: the sin of unbelief which is the unpardonable sin and the sin of blaspheming against the Holy Spirit.

5. John 16:10, “On the other hand concerning righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you all will no longer see Me.”

6. Vs 10, is the “Christ-ward” side of the Spirit’s ministry, represented in “righteousness”, the opposite of sin, found in the person and saving work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

7. DIKAIOSUNE = Righteousness - The right relationship Jesus had with the Father expressed in the faithfulness Jesus had, in fulfilling the will and Plan of the Father.

8. Returning to the Father meant He was received by the Father in heaven as a demonstration of His righteousness; vindi-cating Him from His accusers. Mat 10:35; 12:24-27; Mark 3:22; Luke 11:15-19; Acts 7:55

9. Acts 7:55, “But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; 56and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God”.”

10. The Holy Spirit convicts the unbeliever, who has no grace orientation, of the qualifications Jesus Christ has to be his savior, via His righteousness.

11. Unbelieving man realizes his unrighteousness as the Holy Spirit reveals Christ’s righteousness.

12. Rom 5:19, “For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.”

13. John 16:11, “Even concerning the act of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged (has been and continues to be).”

14. Vs 11 is the “Satan-ward” side of the Spirit’s ministry represented in “judgment”; the judgment of sins in the Person of Jesus Christ which defeated and condemned Satan once and for all time.

Heb 2:14-15, “Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.”

17. Principles of Verse 11: 1. Jesus had previously spoken of judging Satan and the world in John 12:31-32; see also Col 2:14-15.

18. John 12:31, “Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.”

2. This relates the unbeliever to the angelic conflict. Satan stands condemned. The sinful world is in his grip, but he will be cast out, John 12:31. (The unbeliever shares the judgment of Satan.)

20. 1 John 3:8, “The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.”

21. 3. The Perf., Pass., Ind., of KRINO says the judgment of Satan was completed in the past where there is a continuance of that action today and into eternity future.

22. 4. In eternity past Satan was sentenced to the Eternal Lake of Fire, Mat 25:41; John 12:31; cf. Rev 20:10. Currently that sen-tence is under appeal, signified by his current freedom, Job 1:6-9; 2:17; Mat 4:3-11.

23. 5. The Cross is in view; the place where the penalty for Satan’s crimes (sin) was paid for, just as man’s penalty was paid for at the Cross. Col 1:20

25. 7. Therefore man is asked the question, do you stand with Satan under his condemnation or do you stand with Jesus Christ in eternal salvation?

26. 8. The sentence was complete at the Cross of Jesus Christ where He won the strategic victory of the Angelic Conflict thereby proving the guilt of Satan and regaining the rulership of this world, cf. Rev 11:15; 12:10.
