7 AGM/Barbecue Sunday July 13th 2014 Family fun day with a bouncy castle, jazz band, children’s face painting, bar, free hot dog and hamburger included in ticket price. The day was a great success. £88.40 surplus achieved. 4. Trustees Annual Report for 2014 7 7AGM July 2010

8 4. Trustees Annual Report for 2014 Village Hall Grounds The grounds are regularly maintained by the employment of a professional contractor, two volunteer gardeners and the Village hall Committee AGM July 2015 8 8AGM July 2010

9 4. Trustees Annual Report 2014 Soft Play Equipment Purchased at a cost of £1.423.96 plus 8 mats, 2 new small “playtime” tables and 8 chairs. £1000 grant from AVDC. £423.96 from Village Hall funds. 9AGM July 2010

10 4. Trustees Annual Report 2014 New Curtains Eight sets of new, fire retardant curtains were purchased at a cost of £1,760, the originals having been in use since 1993 10AGM July 2010

11 4. Trustees Annual Report 2015 Party Games Box A box of “props” for some 25 games is available for hire at a cost of £5. In addition there is a free “Have a Games Party” guide of over 70 party games 11AGM July 2010

12  Continue driving Vision of making NVH one of “…the best for cleanliness, décor, equipment, facilities, safety - and value for money”  Installation of PV Solar Panels on south facing roof of the hall:  Phase 1 (7.44kWh ) – August 2015 (£14,000)  Phase 2 (2.48kWh) – After Kitchen has been extended (~ Summer ’16) Key Issues & Future Plans 9 12AGM July 2010

13  Kitchen Extension:  Our Vision: to have the best village hall kitchen!  2.5m x 4.0m (+ existing 3.5m x 3.0m)  All new kitchen units & worktops etc  Centralised electrical switch panel  New double oven cooker, double sink etc  Replace metal roller shutter with wooden sliding doors Key Issues & Future Plans 9 13AGM July 2010

14  Kitchen Extension contd:  Project also includes new wheelchair accessible glazed door from Hall to ramp, patio & garden  The Committee is currently obtaining quotes for the building work and kitchen fittings  Fund raising will then commence  Currently:  the total cost is estimated at ~£50,000  August/September ‘16 for building work & kitchen installation Key Issues & Future Plans 9 14AGM July 2010

20 Operating Reserves, equivalent to 12 months minimum ‘normal’ expenditure (currently £4,000), as a contingency against losing Regular Users, economic recession, fall in hiring income etc. Building Reserves of £2,000 to carry out emergency repairs, emergency replacement of essential equipment etc. Sinking Fund for the on-going improvement of the fabric, décor and facilities of the Hall (£2,000).
