3 3 OBJECTIVE 2006 APRU Summer School is a pilot program to: Foster student mobility Explore possibility of credit transfer among members Promote understanding of Modern China

4 4 LECTURES Chinese GeographyChinese History Chinese ReligionChinese Literature Chinese SocietyChinese Politics Chinese Foreign PolicyChinese Reform Chinese FinanceChinese Law *All courses in English

5 5 CREDIT 26 hours ’ in-class lecturing 18 hours ’ field studies Essay test plus class participation 2 credits by GPA system

6 6 FIELD STUDY Company Visit (Aug. 3)

7 7 CULTURAL VISITS Cruise on The Bund (Jul. 28)

8 8 CULTURAL VISITS Shanghai Museum (Jul. 28)

9 9 APPLICATION Member universities nominate student participant Fudan accepts nominees without conditions Each member university sends up to 2 undergraduates Application form and visa form available on : http://www.fao.fudan.edu.cn/ehtml/enews.asp?id=435

10 10 COST No registration fee, tuition fee, or cancellation fee Fudan will cover: 1. free accommodation during summer school 2. field studies and cultural visits Students shall bear: 1. International air fare 2. Food cost in Shanghai 3. Full insurance (strongly recommended ) 4. Cost for extra-day accommodation 5. Pocket money

11 11 ACCOMMODATION Chia Tai Guesthouse (on campus) Free of charge from Jul. 23 – Aug. 6 2 students share 1 standard room Extra-day cost born by students
