1. This presentation will provide you with step-by-step instructions and visual aids to assist you in completing the registration process for students who wish to participate in the Athletic Programs of the Harlem Consolidated School District Machesney Park, IL

2. This registration process MUST be completed by ALL participants prior to the first day of tryouts or practice for all athletic activities In addition to completion of the registration process, ALL participants MUST have a current physical examination with the necessary completed form submitted to the Athletic Department at the Harlem High School Main Campus prior to the first day of tryouts or practice for each activity The online registration process and TARGET Policy agreements within have REPLACED the mandatory attendance requirement at pre-season TARGET Meetings that have been conducted in previous school years

3. Steps for Registration Process: 1.Using an Internet browser, go to www.harlem122.org.www.harlem122.org 2.Scroll over the “Beyond the Classroom” link and click on “Athletics.”

4. 3. From the Athletics webpage, click on the “Harlem High School Athletics” link (Even if the athlete is not in high school, this is the link to click on). This will take you to the Harlem Athletics 8to18 website.

5. 4. From the 8to18 Harlem Athletics webpage, click on the “Registration” link.

6. 5. If you have previously created an account for other sports or summer activities, you will use your current account information to log in. If you have not previously created an account, click on the “Create An Account” link. Once you have created an account and/or logged in, you will be taken to your 8to18 Dashboard (home page).

7. 6.From your 8to18 Dashboard, click on the “Begin Registration” button. (You will also notice the “Download Medical Forms” button. We will return to this later.)

8. 7.Select the activity for which you are registering the player, and click on the “Continue to Step 2” button (Note: if the activity for which you are registering is not shown, this means that registration for this activity is not yet available. Check back as the season draws near.). **Additionally, please consider registering for our Harlem Fans Club. This provides parents and the community many opportunities to volunteer and support Harlem Athletics. The Harlem Fans Club is the BEST volunteer organization of its kind, and has provided THOUSANDS of dollars to our Athletic Programs. PLEASE CONSIDER BEING A PART OF IT!**

9. 8. Once you have selected an activity, you will see this message pop up on your screen. This information provides you with a reminder regarding the Physical Examination requirement and payment options. Please read it carefully and enter the necessary information when appropriate during the remainder of the registration process.

10. 9. Enter the necessary information for the player, and when you are finished, click on the blue “Continue to Step 3” button at the bottom of the page.

11. 10. Next, you will be taken to the Roster Details screen. Enter in the appropriate information for the player, and click on the blue “Continue to Step 4” button.

12. 11. Next, you will be taken to the Primary Parent/Guardian Information page. Enter the appropriate information for the parent/guardian. At the bottom, be sure to check the acknowledgement box under the Legal section, and click the blue “Continue to Step 5” button.

13. 12.Next, you will be taken to the Physical Forms page. (This page can also be accessed from your 8to18 account home page, referenced earlier.) You will need to click on and download the information provided in both links. The first link is information regarding the medical policies of Harlem Athletics. The second link is the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Physical Form that must be downloaded, completed, and turned in to the Harlem Athletics office at the Harlem High School Main Campus. This form MUST be turned in prior to the first day of tryouts or practice for your sport. NO EXCEPTIONS. Once you have downloaded the forms, click on the blue “Continue to Step 6” button.

14. 13. Next, you will be taken to the Legal Forms page. There are 5 documents that must be opened, read, and agreed to by both the player AND the parent/guardian. Click on the first form…

15. 14. This form, as well as the remaining 4 forms, will each open in a pop-up window with a scroll bar to read each form in their entirety. Once EACH of the 5 forms have been read, both the player AND the parent/guardian must agree to the terms by clicking on the appropriate box in the agreement section at the BOTTOM of each form. BOTH boxes must be checked on ALL 5 forms to continue. For each of the 5 forms, click on the green “Accept” button once the boxes have been checked. Check both boxes, then click Accept

16. 15. Once all forms have been read, completed, and agreed to, your screen should look like the illustration above. When complete, click on the blue “Continue to Step 7” button.

17. 16.Next, you will be taken to the Registration Summary page. Here you will have the opportunity to submit the Athletic Fee payment or enter in the appropriate financial information for the player. If the player qualifies for a fee waiver OR if you are making a partial payment, click on the “Alternate Payment (CODE)” button and view the next slide. 17. If you are paying the Athletic Fee in full, complete the necessary payment information and scroll to the bottom of the page. Check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions and click on the blue “Submit” button at the bottom of the page to complete your registration for the player.

18. Fee Waiver – Free Enter the information above and click on the blue “Submit Request” button for players who qualify for a free fee waiver. Fee Waiver – Reduced Enter the information above and click on the blue “Submit Request” button for players who qualify for a reduced fee waiver. Partial Payments Enter the information above for a partial payment. The amount must be AT LEAST $50.00 and entered in the Comment section.
