2.  The commuter lounge is located in the tunnel level of the Richard E. Winter '42 Student Center.  It is open to any student looking for a place to relax and hang out with friends between classes and meetings.  There are two televisions, lots of comfortable couches, many computers, and magazines for student use.

3.  Commuter students may sign out lockers at no charge for the duration of the school year.  All lockers are located in the tunnel level of the Richard E. Winter '42 Student Center.  Lockers may be reserved in the Office of Event Services beginning on the first day of classes.

4.  All Canisius College undergraduate students have access to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) with their Canisius College student transit pass.  Visit www.nfta.com for more information on routes and schedules, or call (716) 855-7300.  Passes can be picked up in the Office of Student Affairs, Old Main 102.

5.  The motorist assistance program assists students, faculty and staff if your; ◦ keys are locked inside the vehicle, ◦ you need gas, ◦ air for low tires ◦ jump start.  Public Safety Officers will also call your auto club and wait with you if you are in a deserted area late at night. Just call Public Safety at 716-888-2330 for assistance.

6.  Shuttle bus service is available from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m., 7 days a week.  Public Safety also provides escort service on an “as needed” basis to students and staff who request it.  To call a shuttle or Public Safety escort, pick up any campus phone and dial 2330.

7.  To help you protect your vehicle from theft, the Department of Public Safety offers the VIN Etch program several times a year.  The VIN Etch program is the permanent etching of your vehicle's federally-registered Vehicle Identification Number on the windows of your vehicle.  Etching the VIN onto the windows of your car makes it less desirable to professional car thieves and helps recover the vehicle if it is stolen.  There is no cost to you and participation in this program may save you up to 15 percent on your car insurance.

8.  The Valuables Identification Program is a free program which enables you to ◦ engrave your valuable property with your social security number, ◦ create an inventory list of your property ◦ obtain a photographic record of your property.  This will assist you and law enforcement in the identification and recovery of your property in the unlikely event it is stolen and also make your property less desirable to thieves.
