2 The staff has 5 lines. 2. 5. 4. 3. 1. Count the number of each
line from the bottom.

3 The staff also has 4 spaces between the lines.
4. 3. 2. 1. Count from the bottom.

4 Each line and space is given a letter name when a clef is on the staff.
Treble Clef is for High Pitches Bass Clef is for Low Pitches

5 When you say both the lines and the spaces, you use the first 7 letters of the alphabet. A B C D E F G ONLY!!!!!! F E D C B A G F E D

7 You can remember the names of the lines by saying:

8 You can remember the names of the spaces by naming types of faces:

15 You can name the spaces by spelling a word that rhymes with space.
