5 TECHNICAL SCHOOLS  College is not for everyone  We have many technical schools in our area that cater to students who want to work soon after high school. These schools can provide the training needed as well as placement afterword's to help you achieve this.  Time varies but most have certificate programs that are 12-18 months long.  Costs are much more affordable than other college options.

6 PLAN NOW  Visit colleges soon  Some colleges will ask for an essay. Be thinking about what you want to write about.  You will need letters of recommendation from teachers, community members, counselors, church members. Think about who you want to ask and give them at east 2-3 weeks write it.  Make sure you know if a college you are looking at has an early entry deadline!

7 COLLEGE VISITS  I will try and get as many colleges as I can to come and visit. Listen in the announcements or stop by my room for a list.  I will also have it posted outside my room, on the career center board in the commons and on the website.  Most will be held during core/choice.  If you still are not sure which college is right for you, come and listen.  This is your time to ask questions of the college to see if it is a good fit for you.

Funds are awarded on a first come first serve basis.  You will need to have your parents sit with you to fill this out.  You will be filling the financial info out before the actual taxes are due.
