4 Eyepiece Body Tube Revolving Nosepiece Arm Objective Lens Stage Stage Clips Coarse Focus Fine Focus Base Diaphragm Light

5 Adjust coarse focus until stage is all the way down Place object on stage Click low power lens into place Look into the eyepiece – cover or close one eye Use the coarse focus until in view, then fine focus for detail to focus

6 Follow steps to focus using low power Click the nosepiece to the next higher power objective – middle, then high Do NOT use the coarse focus Use fine focus only in higher powers Use “pointer” to share findings What can you find on your slide?
