2 Jerome Robbins  Jerome Robbins is world renowned for his work as a choreographer of ballets as well as his work as a director and choreographer in theater, movies and television.  His Broadway shows include On the Town, Billion Dollar Baby, High Button Shoes, West Side Story, The King and I, Gypsy, Peter Pan, Miss Liberty, Call Me Madam, and Fiddler on the Roof.  His last Broadway production in 1989, Jerome Robbins- Broadway, won six Tony Awards including best musical and best director.  Mr. Robbins died in 1998.

3 West Side Story  Broadway musical which won Best Picture of the year in 1961.  Adaptation of the classical romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliette  Set in New York City  Two Rival gangs – “Jets” all white Americans vs. the “Sharks” Puerto Rican immigrants, fight for domination over the neighborhood. Leader of the Jets – Riff Leader of the Sharks – Bernando Anita – Bernando’s girlfriend Doc – Owner of the Candy shop. Maria (Bernando’s little sister) falls in love with Riff’s best friend Tony. They Both fall madly in love with each other but are forbidden to see each other. Against everyone’s wishes they continue seeing each other. What happens next? You’ll have to find out.
