2  Multimedia & Projections Multimedia may be broadly divided into linear and non-linear categories. Linear active content progresses often without any navigational control for the viewer such as a cinema presentation. Uses for Teaching:Non-linear uses interactivity to control progress as with a video game or self-paced computer based training. 3  Interactive Whiteboards Offers a clean dustless and allergy-free way to communicate to students. They are operated by PCs and internet connection. Uses for Teaching: Teaching can be enhance with interactive whiteboards by the accessibility of internet access,which in turn, provides the instructor and student with more updated information. Also, it provides a more exciting classroom experience that keeps the attention of the student.  Pros  Great for demonstrations  One computer classroom maximizes the use of limited computer access  Boards are clean and attractive tools  Cons  Setting up is a bit worrisome if you have to do it on your own  The fact that sometimes the classroom have to be move for connection purposes  Cables and wires can be a safety concern

4  Touchscreen Displays A display screen that is sensitive to the touch of a finger or stylus. Used in myriad applications, including ATM machines, retail point-of-sale terminals, car navigation and industrial controls, the touch screen became wildly popular for smartphones and tablets after Apple introduced the iPhone and iPad. Uses for Teaching: Touch screens can be use to provide students with a easy way to solve or respond to assignments in a quick and effective way. Touch screens are also user friendly and provides a learning tool that helps out In the classroom.  Pros  Infinite ways the interface can be design  User friendly  Speed of the operations are fast  Cons  Low battery life  Screens get very dirty  Application crash  Qwerty keypads are not always dependable

5  Video Conference A videoconference or video conference (also known as a videoteleconference) is a set of interactive telecommunication technologies which allow two or more locations to interact via two-way video and audio transmissions simultaneously. Uses for Teaching: Video conferencing can be very effective when communicating to students that may want to provide feedback after lecture and also for your use as well.  Pros  Eliminates the need for travel  Face to face interaction that is need in some cases.  Cons  Audio Delays (Delays in audio can prevent communication clarity)  Audio Echoes (Echoes can be very troublesome)  Image Softness (Not a consistent flow of information been showed.)
