4. Ded Moroz is very popular in modern Russia. Ded Moroz is a magician, he lives in Lapland and in Bolshoy Ustyug. Ded Moroz is usually dressed in a heel- long light or dark blue (rare red) fur coat and semi- round fur hat lavishly adorned of gold or silver, valenki (felt boots) and mittens. However some people prefer to celebrate this night in the clubs, restaurants, and dancehalls, which organize many special programs, carnivals, games, and entertainments dealing with New Year
