5. When all Hydrogen is “burned up”, the star is fusing bigger and bigger atoms together (up to the element Iron). The star becomes a red giant. Eventually it will explode, creating a supernova. The energy released in a supernova is so great the elements after Iron are created. The remnants of a supernova forms a new solar system with a sun and planets.
