4. Multiplying by 2’s When multiplying by 2’s you circle the other number and double it. Example 4 x 2 = 8 8 x 2 = 16 2 x 7 = 14

6. Multiplying by 4’s You have to be 16 to drive a 4 by 4. 4 x 4 = 16

9. Multiplying by 5’s When multiplying by 5 pretend that a 5 is in the center of the clock. So if 5 is in the center and the long hand is on the 4…it is 20 after. If the long hand is on the 8 it is 40 after.

10. Multiplying by 6’s A little girl lived in Clinton and a little boy lived in Vicksburg. They loved to talk on the phone. From Clinton to Vicksburg it is 36 miles. 6 x 6 = 36 The 6 looks like a phone. There is a 6 story building and a 7 story building and they are located on 42 nd street in New York city. 6 x 7 = 42

11. Multiplying by 7’s There was a football player who in high school was all state. He wore the number 7. He went on to play in college and won the Heisman. He continued to wear the number 7. After graduating from college he was drafted into the pros by the San Francisco 49ners. 7 x 7 = 49ners

14. Multiplying by 9’s TRICK 9 Example: 9 x 5 = Trick 9…take one away from 5 is 4…9 - 4= 5…45 9 x 8 = Trick 9…take one away From 8 is 7…9 – 7 = 2…72

15. Multiplying by 10’s When multiplying by 10’s the one sees itself and the zero is a cheerio! Example 5 x 10= the one sees a 5 and put down a cheerio = 50

16. Multiplying by 11’s When multiplying by 11 you are seeing doubles. Ex. 5 x 11 =55
