3 The Four Avenues of Service in Rotary Club Service Within the scope of our own Club (Socials, Programs, in-club fundraising, etc.) Community Service Within the scope of our “community” (Normally our city, but may be our district, province or country) International Service World-wide, includes Rotary Foundation activities (student exchanges, GSE Teams, Polio Plus) Vocational Service Based on the Classification system adopted by Rotary on its inception, education of members on other occupations or vocations.

4 Typical Committees Fundraising Project Committees Project Evaluation Committee Work Parties Committees Establish measurable goals and objectives, routinely audit performance to goals, report to BOD at least quarterly. Fundraising

5 Community Funds Raised by Clubs from activities in our own communities EXCEPT through lotteries. May include such things as Christmas Tree Sales, Ticketed social events that include auctions, etc - Restricted Funds Casino, Bingo, raffles,50-50 etc covered by Lotteries Board

6 Community Funds Restricted Funds (Separate Account ) Spending and Donations Community Funds - Due diligence, verify credibility of recipients -approvals required- Club Board of Directors - Restricted Funds - Due diligence, verify credibility of recipiants -approvals required- Alberta Gaming and Lotteries Banking
