Spring 2: Normans Summer 1: Matilda! (Why aren't all children revolting?) Summer 2: The Suitcase Kid. 0 Key skills: articulating ideas and structuring them in writing and speech, Spelling, Punctuation, Grammar, word reading, comprehension, spoken language (listening too!), phonics and handwriting.

4. National Curriculum – Year 4 0 The Flourishing Curriculum: Autumn: Who were the early lawmakers? (History focus – Crime & Punishment) Spring 1: Where would you choose to build a city? (River Study and City Locations – Human Geography) Spring 2: Why were the Norman castles definitely not bouncy? (A significant theme in British History, Norman Conquest) Summer 1: Why is London such a cool place to live? (UK City Study – Physical Geography) Summer 2: Why were the Romans so rotten? What did they do for Britain? (Stone Age to 1066 – History) 0 Foundation Subjects: All foundation subjects will be integrated in to topics outlined above to ensure a broad and balanced curriculum delivery/skill development.
