3 How would you describe a city in the morning?
On my signal, turn and talk with your partner to complete the following stem I might see ____________in a city in the morning. I might hear ______________.

4 Objective: To appreciate the rhythm and rhyme of a poem
We are going to read a poem today called City. As we read the poem I want for you to look for two things. First, I want you to listen for things that describe a city. Next, I want you to see if you hear any musical words in the poem (words like song, and sings).

5 City In the morning the city Spreads its wings Making a song In stone that sings. In the evening the city Goes to bed Hanging lights About its head.
