2. The main aim for construction the building project The community college project will be constructed to develop, train and learn the most requested skills for the people who are living out of big cities. These skills are needed for those people so they can depend on themselves for most of different requirements for daily living. This will reduce dependency on the big cities.

3. Background The site of the project is located in shaqura. After studying project plans, the building consists of three floors, ground floor and two other floors. the building plans provide all the needs of the college such as a mosque, central library, laboratories, staff offices, Lecture halls, computer labs, student’s meeting hall,and coffee shop etc.

4. Objectives and steps of the project 1- after receiving the architectural plans, I will locate sites of columns, and beams. 3. After that I will learn how to use SAP 2000 program in design of concrete structures. 2-aftar that I will study how to draw structural plan using SAP 2000 software program. 4- then I will begin to design slabs, beams, columns, and foundations. 5-also I will learn to be able how to construct the schedule of reinforcement of the project. 6- I will learn how to participate in team work. 7- I will get experience in this field after finishing this project. 8- I will learn how to write a technical report about the project. The main objective of this project is to learn how to design a typical building using SAP2000 program Under the effect of dead and live loads based on SBC 304. The design will include all building members such as slabs, beams, columns, and foundations.

5. Structural Design The structural design shall aim to achieve four main objectives: safety, serviceability, durability and economy. The structural design will contain: Design philosophy statement and treatment of loads. General construction notes. Foundation plans and details with reinforcement schedules. Structural framing plans for all levels and roof slab with details and reinforcement schedules. Cross section with reinforcement details. Foundation schedule with reinforcement. Columns schedule with reinforcement. Beams schedule with reinforcement. Structural details. Structural plan.
