Can Food Drive/Book Drive Example of Indirect Service Engage in a can food drive to provide canned food for shelters around the time of Thanksgiving Engage in a book/toy drive to provide a book to each child in a classroom or several classrooms

Advocacy Definition Lend talents and voice to community issue. Educate the public about an issue. Create social or grassroots action. Examples Make presentations to community regarding community problem; Letter writing campaign; Create and distribute flyers What is learned Oral presentation skills Writing skills Problem solving Research skills Community Involvement Making a difference
